Mourinho admitted earlier this week that his life in Manchester was a “disaster” after struggling to settle away from his family who remain in London
Jose Mourinho will have woken up this morning a little happier than in previous weeks.
Mourinho admitted earlier this week that his life in Manchester was a “disaster” with the difficulties of living out of a suitcase making it difficult to settle into the city.
He’s keen to do so.
“Maybe if I can get a good apartment, not these giant houses that the press says I’m going to buy! I will never buy that!
“But if I find a nice apartment with a good connection from the garage to the apartment, maybe I do it, but I can’t cook!”
So, in a bid to help Jose out, the good folks at the Manchester Evening News scoured the market to see if they could find him the perfect pad.
This three bedroom apartment, right in the heart of the city, could be the ideal candidate to solve the United man’s blues.
With enough room for his family to stay when they make the trip up north to see him and with panoramic views across the city, it has to be better than living out of a hotel suite.
And Jose wouldn’t have to worry about cooking, as it is located just off Deansgate, with more than enough choice of great restaurants and bars.
There are also two underground parking spots so that he can avoid the paparazzi waiting outside.
This one is a little closer to his current ‘home’ on the banks of the River Irwell, so it will save him time when moving in.
Located on the popular Leftbank, this two bedroom apartment could be the perfect fit for Mourinho.
Just a stone’s throw from dozens of fancy restaurants, he won’t be short for anything his taste buds desire.
There is also a lengthy outdoor terrace, perfect for relaxing with friends and ordering in some food when he doesn’t feel like cooking.
Surely this ticks all the boxes?
Now this could be a slightly controversial choice but they say keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
His opposite number, Pep Guardiola, is believed to have snapped up a flat in the same building already, and after seeming to have built bridges at the recent derby, they could be great neighbours.
The property is set to be open in 2017 and has everything a top class manager could wish for, and being located a little bit out from the city centre it might help him escape the gaze of the press.
It also boasts two bedrooms, a private swimming pool and gym, as well as private, secure parking and a 24 hr concierge.
If Jose is looking to make a more permanent move to the city, then there is nowhere better to choose as his new home than the birthplace of ‘Madchester’; the Hacienda nightclub, now one of the the city’s trendiest spots.
We’re sure United fan Ian Brown would be pleased to see this happen.
The two bedroom, penthouse apartment again benefits from breathtaking views of the city skyline, and has a spacious terrace for those (rare) sunny days.
It is also close to bars, restaurants and the Palace Theatre, which will no doubt please the ‘special one’.
The apartment also benefits from two secure underground parking spaces.
There you go Jose, take your pick.
